Frequently Asked Questions
Can low testosterone cause ED?
Yes. Low testosterone affects libido, arousal and erection quality. Where bloodwork confirms a deficiency, testosterone therapy under medical supervision can restore balance, and it's often combined with a direct ED treatment for better results than either alone.
How do I know which treatment I need?
That's what the consultation is for. A man with vascular ED and a man with performance anxiety need different plans, and both are common. Where the answer changes the treatment, we test rather than guess.
Is shockwave therapy actually proven?
Low-intensity focused shockwave has a reasonable evidence base for vasculogenic ED, and it works by promoting new blood-vessel formation rather than masking symptoms. It isn't right for every cause of ED, which is why we assess first, and results build over a course.
Can I combine treatments?
Usually yes, and most plans do. On-demand medication, a shockwave course and a regenerative treatment work on different timescales, so they complement rather than duplicate each other.
